October 6, 2010- Best known as the dashing Aussie Simon Frasier on As The World Turns, Paul Leyden dropped into the world of Y&R this week as Blake, a police officer. Paul has already shared the screen with Maura West (Diane) on ATWT and fellow Aussie Daniel Goddard (Cane) in Beastmaster. Leyden's character is a bit of a mystery but Paul had a lot to say when we recently sat down with him. Vince Faraday is a devoted husband, father and cop, but when he is framed for a series of murders he didn't commit and then presumed dead, he is forced into hiding while he tries to prove his innocence. Vince decides to take on the bad guys by becoming "The Cape," a superhero from his son's comic book series.

The cast of NBC's new fall drama series The Cape includes: David Lyons as Vince Faraday, Jennifer Ferrin as Dana, Ryan Wynott as Trip, James Frain as Peter Fleming/Chess, Keith David as Max Malini, Summer Glau as Orwell and Dorian Missick as Marty Voyt.

The show is set to debut in a two hour special January 9 on NBC.  It will air on Mondays after that.

Ellen Dolan, who played Margo on the soap opera “As the World Turns,” will present a workshop at the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival in Des Moines.

The festival will run Nov. 4-11 at the Fleur Cinema and Cafe. It will feature a noncompetitive showcase of movies shot in Iowa, plus a full slate of films in competition for festival prizes.

Talk about an audition: Trying out for the role of a disturbed drug addict in Joel Schumacher's gritty new drama, Twelve, Billy Magnussen got into character. Way into character.

At the audition, Magnussen licked the casting director's face. "I went in as the character," he says. "I take acting pretty seriously!"

Besides Magnussen, 25, who also appears on As The World Turns, Twelve also stars Chace Crawford, 50 Cent, Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin – and, right before its Friday opening, PEOPLE got to know something about the movie's resident bad guy.

Daytime Emmy winner Julie Pinson (Janet Ciccone) has signed on to appear in the upcoming online drama series, River Ridge.

In joining River Ridge, Pinson will appear on-screen with fellow soap stars Signy Coleman (Hope Wilson, The Young and the Restless), Beth Ehlers (ex-Taylor Thompson, All My Children; ex-Harley Cooper, Guiding Light), and Frank DiCopoulos (ex-Frank Cooper, Guiding Light). Also slated to appear are Barbara Alyn Woods (Deb Scott, One Tree Hill), Hudson Leick (Callisto, Xena: Warrior Princess), and newcomers Seth Ford and Matt McAbee.

The new web seires, The Bay, follows the life of socialite Sara Garrett and the people around her. THE BAY is a new independent soap opera in the vein of Aaron Spelling's 1980s classic primetime hit, DYNASTY. Filled with sex, lies, scandal and everything required to make a hot dramatic series, THE BAY premiered on September 15, 2010.

Featired in the cast are several former As the World Turns actors.  Real Andrews (Walker Daniels), Dylan Bruce (Chris Hughes),  Marie Wilson  (Meg Snyder), Lesli Kay (Molly Conlan), Nicholas Coster (Eduardo Grimaldi) and Mary Beth Evans (Sierra Montgomery) who is also a producer of the series.

The day of the rally is upon us. If you possibly can attend, please do so. Reportedly CNN will be covering it so a big crowd is needed. It's doubtful it will change the mind of anyone at CBS but it just might get somebody from a different network or cable channel to take notice and consider picking up the show. At least it's worth a try! Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
